Future Student and Engagement – Web Team

* Casual Professional Employment HEO4 $48.44 per hour
* Casual Professional Employment HEO5 $52.48 per hour
* Plus 12% employer superannuation
* Armidale based role. Remote flexible or hybrid work arrangements will be considered.

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Content Optimisation Officer (Casual) to support improvements to the University's corporate website. Working within the Web Team, you'll create, update and optimise content in collaboration with Marketing and subject matter experts across the organisation. You'll contribute to our strategic website content uplift and refresh, improving how content is presented and experienced by users. You'll also gain exposure to search optimisation, content performance and digital tools, with opportunities to further develop your capability in areas such as SEO, analytics and AI-assisted content. We're seeking candidates with a range of relevant experience who can contribute to key projects and content initiatives.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Experience writing and editing content for digital and online use with an understanding of web content best practices (e.g. clear writing, SEO and accessibility)
* Experience working with stakeholders across teams (e.g. marketing, faculty and web team) to gather, interpret and translate information into user-focused content
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
* Experience working in higher education, ed-tech, or similar organisations
* Experience or familiarity with digital tools such as content management systems; exposure to analytics, SEO or AI tools is advantageous

Desirable

* Experience creating engaging marketing and promotional content across digital channels.

Additional requirement

* For remote-based work, access to a personal computer and reliable internet connection

About the Department

The Future Students and Engagement Department at the University of New England (UNE) oversees all external-facing functions at UNE with a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy. This includes marketing, advancement, alumni office, social media, and corporate communications and events. The department focuses on engaging with industry partners, alumni, philanthropic supporters, governments and communities, whilst also attracting and connecting with prospective students. The team effectively showcases UNE's offerings, builds relationships with key stakeholders, and fosters a strong, connected community.
