The Broken Hill Musicians Club seeks a People and Culture Manager to drive our human resources and cultural development agenda—working remotely with regular travel to our club in Broken Hill (all travel expenses covered).
The Role
This role offers genuine flexibility: work from anywhere in Australia, making an on-site presence through scheduled periodic visits, alongside remote engagement with our team via regular Zoom or Teams meetings.
As People and Culture Manager, you will:
* Lead HR, people and culture, and talent management strategies in alignment with the Club's values and mission.
* Develop and implement wellbeing, engagement, and performance initiatives to create a positive, inclusive organisational culture.
* Support managers and staff with advice on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, policy compliance, awards, and conflict resolution.
* Oversee regulatory compliance with Fair Work, workplace safety, and enterprise bargaining requirements.
* Use data and regular reporting to measure and improve engagement and HR outcomes.
* Ensure visibility and connection with staff by facilitating engaging and consistent online meetings, coaching sessions, and remote cultural programs.
About You
* Substantial HR generalist or People & Culture experience, ideally in hospitality, clubs, or service-driven organisations.
* Comfortable working remotely, building rapport and maintaining presence via digital platforms.
* Demonstrated success delivering culture and employee engagement initiatives virtually and in-person.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across various platforms.
* Ability to interpret awards and employment law, and implement compliant policies and procedures.
* Periodic travel to Broken Hill is required; you'll be a visible leader, both online and in person.
