Established in 1999, Ground Technologies has rapidly grown into a strong, energetic and competitive player in the Geotechnical field providing services to some of the major projects in Sydney region such as major Road Construction, Industrial and Residential Subdivisions, Schools, Airports and Seaports.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team and specialize in Geotechnical Lab Testing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Perform field sampling and testing activities plus soil/ground investigations
* Be the site liaison for contractors and clients
* Undertake laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete and aggregates
* Analyse and calculate results of testing
* Prepare test reports and perform quality assurance testing
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Min. 1 year experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering OR Laboratory Technology field with a Certificate IV or Diploma preferred
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication and project management skills
* Solutions and efficiency focused, partnering and client relationship orientated
* Lateral thinking, problem solving and strong collaboration and team working abilities
* Passionate about geotechnical engineering and geology with a broad range of expertise including investigation, interpretation, modelling and design
* Experience in using geotechnical software to analyse problems and form solutions
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships within the team, with clients and stakeholders
