Location: Alice Springs and Darwin, NT
Salary Package: Up to $347,549 (inclusive of allowances)
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs team in the Central Australia region. This role offers a rare opportunity to work across both forensic and community mental health settings in one of the most unique and culturally rich parts of Australia. It is ideal for a specialist passionate about making a difference in remote and Indigenous health while contributing to teaching and training programs for medical students and psychiatry registrars.

* Specialist Clinician: $248,765 – $304,012
* Senior Specialist Clinician: $314,354 – $347,549
* Additional allowances:
o Professional Training Allowance: $21,603 – $27,967
o Second Roster Allowance: $41,433
o Private Practice Allowance: $103,538 – $145,005
* Salary packaging benefits: $9,010
* 6 weeks annual leave + 2 weeks professional development leave
* Superannuation and leave loading
* Relocation and repatriation reimbursement

Responsibilities
* Deliver expert psychiatric care across community and forensic settings (50:50 split)
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to improve mental health outcomes
* Contribute to teaching psychiatry to medical students and postgraduate trainees
* Flexible working arrangements considered
What You'll Bring
* Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent
* Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
