Childcare Chef Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cook to join our childcare team. As a Childcare Chef, you will play a vital role in planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and prepare balanced meals that cater to the dietary requirements and allergies of all children at the centre.
* Source and purchase food provisions in accordance with the menu requirements.
* Lead and mentor other kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and service.
* Develop and implement menus that promote healthy eating habits among children.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in cookery or equivalent.
* At least two years of on-the-job training or experience in childcare cooking.
* Ability to adhere to Journey's child-safe policy and code of conduct.
