Catered Supports is currently on the lookout for an energetic, outgoing and attentive Disability Support Workers to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing person centred 1:1 supports to people living with disability. We are seeking a proactive and passionate individual with strong problem-solving skills, initiative and availability during weekdays. Sleepovers, Overnight Awakes and Group Support Shifts are also available for applicants wishing to have a varied roster.
The role requires the provision of personal care, and mealtime management, which includes peg feeding, for which training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
* Active Support: Promote skill development and independence by encouraging participants to engage in meaningful daily tasks and decision-making, rather than completing tasks for them.
* Community Participation: Support participants to access and take part in community-based activities, events, and services that align with their goals and interests, fostering social inclusion and confidence.
* Personal Care: Support participants with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility, while promoting dignity and independence.
* Mealtime Management: Prepare and serve meals in line with individual needs, preferences, and requirements outlined in the participant's Mealtime Management Plan.
* Safety Monitoring: Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of participants throughout the shift by regularly monitoring their environment and responding promptly to any needs, risks, or emergencies.
* Record Keeping: Accurately document all supports provided, including daily notes, incidents, observations, and progress towards goals, in line with organisational and NDIS requirements.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in personal care or disability support roles preferred, but not required.
* Reasonable level of physical fitness, health and resilience
* Availability to work shift work, including day supports.
* Confident Driving Skills, including at night and on unsealed roads.
* Access to a reliable vehicle & Current driver's licence

* Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check or ability to obtain prior to commencing employment
