Senior Accountant Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for driving process improvement, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with group reporting standards.
* Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis for management reporting
* Review payment runs, monitor accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely bank reconciliations
* Assist with statutory reporting, tax returns, and BAS lodgements
* Prepare payroll and associated reporting requirements
* Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to financial modelling and analysis
* Act as a trusted business partner, providing support and insights to various functions across the business
* Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements
The ideal candidate is a CA/CPA qualified accountant with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven experience in financial and management reporting
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
* Industry experience in manufacturing will be highly regarded
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
* A proactive and positive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Experience with IFRS or ERP systems
