About the Role
Are you a reliable and passionate Cook who enjoys preparing nutritious meals and making a positive difference in the lives of older Australians?
Responsibilities
* Prepare meals and undertake basic cooking and food handling duties
* Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen in line with food safety and infection control standards
* Complete basic record keeping (e.g. meal numbers, missed meals, fridge/freezer temperatures)
* Assist with ordering and stock control in consultation with the Supervisor and suppliers
* Provide high-quality, customer-focused service to residents and stakeholders
* Actively support continuous improvement, safety and quality standards
About You
You are a team-focused Cook who values quality, safety and service excellence. You are comfortable working in a regulated environment and enjoy contributing to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
You will bring
* Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes and food hygiene
* At least 1 year's experience as a commercial cook in a hygiene-controlled environment
* Basic computer skills (e.g. Outlook and internet use)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

Requirements
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain, where applicable)
* Australian Work Rights (Sponsorship unavailable for this role)
