About Foxleigh Mine:
The mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. It has been in operation for 25 years, producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing.
The mine is situated in Queensland's Bowen Basin coalfield, 12km south of Middlemount and 272km northwest of Rockhampton.
About the Role:
As a Senior Mine Surveyor, you will deliver accurate and timely survey data to support safe, efficient, and compliant mining operations.
* Promote and maintain safe working practices in all surveying tasks.
* Ensure full compliance with statutory surveying requirements.
* Set out dig limits, crest/toe lines, and other design parameters in the field.
* Work closely with the Production team to communicate set-out limits and execution requirements.
* Conduct weekly as-built surveys using advanced technologies.
* Prepare and present weekly reports on compliance-to-design.
* Perform end-of-month surveys, including voids, coal stockpiles, and waste mining reconciliation.
* Conduct periodic water level surveys of dams and other water bodies.
* Acquire as-built data as required.
About You:
You should have a degree in Surveying or Spatial Science.
* Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
* Registered Mine Surveyor – beneficial.
* Minimum 7 years' experience as a Mine Surveyor in open cut coal mining.
* Technical proficiency in Maptek PointStudio and Deswik CAD software.
