Coastwide Readymix Concrete is a locally owned and operated company supplying ready-mixed concrete to the building and construction industry across the Central Coast region for over 35 years.
We currently have a position available for Haulage Truck Drivers working across our Gosford and Warnervale locations.
Our Haulage Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of tippers, truck & dogs and tankers to load, transport and unload quarry materials from various suppliers to our concrete batch plants located between Sydney - Newcastle.
We operate 6 days per week, Monday - Saturday typically between 5:30am - 5:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Safely load, transport and unload quarry materials in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements, load limits, dimensions and permit conditions.
* Complete, collate and submit delivery documents, risk assessments, driver log books/diaries, run sheets and weighbridge dockets and other documents and reports in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies, procedures and NHVR/statutory requirements and standards.
* Plan and execute routes in accordance mass limits, vehicle configurations, NHVR permit and approval conditions.
* Demonstrate ability to identify and manage risks, report hazards and incidents, comply with site safety plans, traffic management plans, fatigue management plans and conduct all duties and tasks with a safety first focus.
* Complete daily pre-trip records, safety inspections, fault reports and coordinate routine servicing, repairs and perform general maintenance.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders and team members.
* Attend and participate in toolbox talks, meetings and training events.
* General yard duties as required
About you:
* A current, unrestricted minimum HC drivers license with minimum 12 months experience and suitable driving record.
* CPCWHS1001 White Card - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
* Be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability to work safely to a high standard solo and unsupervised .
* Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality and environment and a strong work ethic.
* Basic literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
* Effective communication skills
* Be able to perform all duties associated with the position, including manual handling.
* Be willing to work regular overtime and Saturdays when required.
* Have a suitable standard of fitness in accordance with the physical demands of the role and be willing to attend a pre-employment medical and routine onsite drug and alcohol testing.
