About the role
Lead clinical pharmacy services across hospital wards including dispensing, compounding, and patient counselling. Supervise pharmacy interns and students while delivering culturally appropriate care to diverse patient populations.
Duties
* Deliver ward-based clinical pharmacy services across hospital departments
* Supervise pharmacy interns, students and technical staff
* Provide medicines information and patient counselling
* Participate in clinical rotations and after-hours roster
* Maintain compliance with Australian pharmacy safety standards
About You
* Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy
* Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience essential (clinic experience not suitable)
* Completed internship or completing soon
* Strong knowledge and practice in clinical pharmacy
* Ability to support workplace improvements and engage in ongoing professional development for self and staff
* Initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
* Flexibility, commitment, and capacity to build effective working relationships
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
* Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Awareness of Indigenous culture and ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Preferred but not essential
* Recent experience from within Australia/New Zealand as a pharmacist
* Completed relevant tertiary education in Pharmacy from these countries: New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada
