About The School
Montville State School is situated high in the Blackall Ranges, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The school is situated in the main street of Montville village. The school was founded in 1896 and with the introduction of the Prep year in 2006 offers quality education for Prep to Year 6 for approximately 100 students. Montville offers a diverse curriculum that covers all key learning areas as well as specialised subjects such as Japanese, music and instrumental music. The school also has a comprehensive physical education program and provides religious education. The school personnel are highly trained, enthusiastic and committed to providing quality education for the students. The school has a learning support teacher who oversees a comprehensive range of intervention programs for students experiencing learning difficulties.
The school has a wide range of sporting amenities, including an adventure playground, a large oval, tennis, basketball, soccer fields, handball and volleyball courts and sand pits. Students have access to a wide array of modern sports equipment. The school has a proud history of representation in local sporting events. Including many fun events held in collaboration with other small schools in the area and our community.

You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
* Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
* Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
* Futures oriented and strategic.
* Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
* Manage resources to achieve goals.
