About the role
As an Assistant Coordination Officer, you’ll help deliver projects that strengthen disaster preparedness and recovery across local and regional communities. You’ll engage with stakeholders, provide exceptional customer service, and support project teams by monitoring progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing reports and briefs.
You’ll also coordinate meetings, handle queries professionally, and collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and contribute to crisis response when needed. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this is your chance to make a real impact.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong customer service mindset and exceptional communication skills to build positive relationships and provide professional support to stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy in documentation, and adapt to dynamic situations will ensure you thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.
You will also have:
• Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in project support or administration, ideally within a government, emergency management, or community-focused setting.
• Experience in a customer-focused role, with the ability to engage professionally, build strong relationships, and provide support to stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to contribute to team objectives and assist in crisis events as required.
Essential Requirements:
* An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
* Current unrestricted NSW drivers’ licence.
