The Warragul Linen Service (WLS) is a business unit of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group and are among the leading linen service providers to major public hospitals and aged care facilities across Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds. Our laundry plant is situated in the regional town of Warragul, behind the West Gippsland Hospital.
We are currently seeking a versatile candidate to act as a Linen Distributor at the Victorian Heart Hospital in Clayton. This is a casual role that will be used to backfill a number of different shifts.
Major tasks include:
1. Transportation of clean linen throughout the site
2. Delivery of linen orders in line with contract terms and conditions
3. Stock take and replenishment as required, using impress systems
4. Completion of requisitions and additional documentation as required
Our ideal candidate will have:
5. A history of punctuality and solid attendance
6. Accurate recording skills
7. Good time management skills
8. Well organised and able to manage own workload
9. Ability to cooperate and work independently and/or in a team environment
Uniforms and protective clothing are provided. Please note that this role involves manual handling tasks, including lifting and pushing.
IMPORTANT : All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
