About the Role
Surefire Insurance Brokers is seeking a motivated and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Officer to join our dynamic team in Leederville, WA. As a key member of our Claims team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Workers Compensation claims. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in a collaborative, client-centric environment while supporting both individual and organisational growth.
You will manage end-to-end claims, liaise with multiple stakeholders, and provide critical support throughout the claims process. Your attention to detail, technical knowledge, and customer service skills will play a key role in ensuring the efficient resolution of claims and the overall satisfaction of our clients.
What You'll Be Doing
* Manage Claims Portfolio: Efficiently handle Workers Compensation claims.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate and collaborate with clients, injured workers, employers, insurers, lawyers, medical providers, and regulators.
* Claims Processing: Analyse and assess claims details to ensure accurate, timely processing, and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Return-to-Work & Injury Management: Support return-to-work initiatives and injury management programs, working with stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.
* Provide Technical Advice: Offer claims guidance to assigned broking teams, ensuring all parties are informed and supported.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance client satisfaction and team efficiency.
* Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and provide regular updates on claim statuses and outcomes.
* Training & Development: Contribute to the growth of the Claims team through knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For
* Experience: A minimum of 4+ years in a claims role, with strong experience in Workers Compensation.
* Knowledge: Solid understanding of Workers Compensation legislation, injury management processes.
* Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple claims simultaneously.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with claims management systems and MS Office suite.
* Problem-Solving: Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
* Resilience & Empathy: Emotional resilience and genuine empathy for clients during challenging times.
