DESCRIPTION:
Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our team and play a critical role in leading associates within our Delivery Station in Mulgrave, Melbourne.
Do you have a passion for motivating, mentoring, and coaching a team? Do you pride yourself on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, attendance, and performance? As an Operations Manager, you will be key in ensuring customer expectations are met by delivering orders accurately and on time.
Key job responsibilities
1. Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
2. Maintaining health and safety standards and promoting a safety culture on-site
3. Collaborating with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives
4. Proactively leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools
5. Performing physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching with varying weights
A day in the life
You will be an inspiring leader working to improve delivery process efficiency, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of customer orders. You will oversee workflows, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
* Management experience with sizable teams, demonstrating motivation and relationship-building skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including conducting Dive Deep analysis on complex processes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
* Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree or relevant Amazon experience
* Ability to manage high ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement, Lean, or Kaizen methodologies
* Management experience with employee performance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
