An Opportunity for Entry Level Facade Specialist
We have an exciting opportunity available for a creative and motivated entry level facade specialist to become part of our team. You will be collaborating with the best in the business, building on your specialized technical knowledge while working on the design of some of the most exciting projects in Australia and internationally.
Our facade team is internationally distributed, and the team is location independent, enabling access to projects across Australasia, Asia, US and Europe from any location. We uniquely work across all stages of the project lifecycle, from the business case and advisory, to sustainability and carbon strategy, to detailed modelling, construction, and post-occupancy.
This role involves working closely with other team members to carry out detail design drafting. Some of our recent Melbourne projects include:
- Rod Laver Arena Redevelopment, Melbourne Park
- Arts & Culture Building, Melbourne University
- Iglu Student Accommodation, Russel St Melbourne
- Christchurch Convention Centre
- South Melbourne Primary School
Requirements
* You must have an appetite for learning new skills and proven ability to manage delivery of multiple projects.
* You should be motivated by progressive thinking to find creative solutions.
* You must have the growth mindset to grow and assist to scale the business to the next level.
* You should not mind being out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself.
* You should understand the relationship between detail and the 'bigger picture', and have an appreciation for both.
Responsibilities
* You will develop different facade systems for a variety of projects from commercial to multi storey residential and mixed developments.
* You will prepare and develop detail drawings of facade systems based on architectural sketches using AutoCAD software.
* You will work closely with other team members to generate concept, detailed and tender drafting packages.
* You will communicate regularly with design team and manager.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Certificate holder or equivalent in Building Design and drafting is ideal.
* Proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCAD, Word, Outlook, etc.
* Demonstrated experience in architectural drafting or civil/Structural drafting is an advantage but not applicable.
* Knowledge of 3D design software (3D CAD, Rhino etc.) is an advantage but not applicable.
