Are you a passionate and creative chef with a strong background in kosher cuisine? Do you have a love for crafting delicious and innovative dishes while maintaining the highest standards of kosher food preparation? If so, we want you to join our team

Position: Chef (Full time )

About Us: We are a vibrant and bustling kosher cafe and restaurant which is opened since 2009, known for our exceptional food and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our menu features a delightful array of traditional and contemporary kosher dishes, and we are committed till to using the freshest ingredients to provide an unforgettable dining experience. We are opened six days a week from Sunday to Friday.

We are looking to hire a full time chef at our café and restaurant.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* To Create and execute a diverse and exciting kosher menu.
* To Ensure all food preparation and cooking processes comply with kosher dietary laws.
* To Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff scheduling.
* To Assist other chefs with food preparation, cooking and plating up meals to be served to customers
* To Ensure that your work area, equipment, and section are always kept clean, in accordance with health and hygiene, and strictly implementing our OH&S policies.
* To Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* To Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and dishes into the menu.
* To Manage the kitchen to deliver exceptional food quality & service.
* To Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
* To Check food is stored and handled as per food health and hygiene regulations.
* To Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control.

To succeed in this role, you:

* Must possess at least equivalent to AQF level Diploma or Advanced Diploma and 2 years' experience OR 3 years or more of relevant experience as a chef in a kosher kitchen.
* Deep understanding of kosher dietary laws and certification processes.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Possess a demonstrable passion for food and have experience in the creation and implementation of menus.
* Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OH&S standards
