Employment Support Specialist
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to assist participants and school leavers in achieving their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Build professional relationships with participants at differing stages in their employment journey.
* Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to assist them with reaching their employment goals.
* Develop and implement individual support plans and 12-week plans that outline the participants' journey towards finding and keeping a job.
* Create and seek opportunities that enable individuals to reach their potential as valued members of their community, in line with their NDIS goals, inclusive of work experience activities.
* Facilitate individual and group activities, using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building.
* Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency.
* Maintain data integrity and efficiently manage workload, prioritising tasks and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames.
This is a casual on-call position to cover the Logan and Ipswich area.
Requirements:
* The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
* To be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
* Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviours.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or willingness to obtain prior to start.
* A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance.
* Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants who live with disability, delivering a service that enables them to build their capacity and work towards meeting their employment goals.
* Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
* High level of customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
