Chef (Full-Time) – Cabana Cafe and Bistro
Salary: $76,500 – $80,000 per year, depending on experience
Cabana Cafe and Bistro is an upmarket beachside café, serving breakfast and lunch and starting dinner service soon. We combine bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a laid-back cabana vibe to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Responsibilities
Hire, lead, roster, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Prepare, cook, and present breakfast and lunch dishes to the highest standard.
Create, plan, and update menus with a focus on creativity, quality, and seasonal ingredients.
Manage food budgets, costing, and monitor stock levels to optimize profitability.
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and reducing food waste.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Mentor and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team.
What We’re Looking For
Trade-qualified (Certificate IV in Culinary or equivalent) with proven experience as a Chef.
Strong knowledge of fresh ingredients and modern cooking techniques.
Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a quick-paced kitchen.
Team player with leadership and communication skills.
Passionate about food and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
