We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about content, to join our team at Umbrella Entertainment.

The Content Operations Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, QC, editing, and delivery of digital and physical media assets across Umbrella’s catalogue of films and television. This includes managing masters, metadata, subtitles, artwork, and extras to ensure they are delivered on time, to specification, and at the highest quality. The role also incorporates experienced editing work, spanning both marketing/social content and physical media extras/archival material.

Role responsibilities:

Content Management and Quality Control:

- Source, order, sync, and deliver subtitles & captions for a variety of A/V material.
- Troubleshoot and resolve QC and delivery issues or technical discrepancies
- Review ingested A/V material for compliance with technical standards (encode, DCP, HDR, Dolby Vision).
- Manage content capacity of key databases including Vimeo, Dropbox and internal servers
- Locate and procure archival extras content (DVD, Blu-ray, other sources).
- Edit, localise and prepare A/V material
- Maintain version control and naming conventions across all A/V materials.
- Audit metadata accuracy across internal and external platforms.

Delivery and Encoding:

- Encode A/V materials from masters and deliver to variety of clients and platforms
- Create multiple encode variants (ProRes, DNxHD, H.264, IMF) per client specification.
- Manage delivery deadlines and schedules across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Order and deliver artwork and creative assets.
- Oversee storage and organisation of encoding presets and profiles.
- Create and deliver secure screeners for producers and contributors.
- Deliver archival extras to contributors for research and production support.
- QC all inbound extras for technical and content standards.
- Sync, mix, and edit audio commentaries.
- Deliver completed material packages to disc authoring facilities.

A/V Support:

- Prepare and submit metadata requirements to partner/platform specifications.
- Maintain style and spec documentation for internal and external use.
- Manage classification submissions with relevant authorities.
- Operate, update and manage IP protection systems including Content ID and Screen rights.
- Update key databases to track activity including material status, release updates and progress updates

Video Editing and Materials:

- Assist with video editing needed including trailer cutdowns, excerpt creation, localisation and other ad hoc deliverables.
- Create internal reference cuts (clip reels, sizzle reels) for marketing and sales.
- Reformat existing marketing assets for social media platforms.
- Edit and prepare extras, archival material, and clips for physical releases and social media (e.g. cutting archival interviews, formatting BTS footage, restoring older clips for inclusion in discs)
- Perform light restoration or enhancement on archival video/audio when required (e.g. noise reduction, colour balancing).
- Conform and export edited extras to technical specifications for authoring facilities
- Support ad hoc creative editing requests from internal teams.
- Ensure all edits meet brand, quality, and technical standards.

Storage, Backup & Library Management:

- Manage servers, NAS systems, and storage environments used for active and archive materials.
- Implement and maintain backup processes to ensure data integrity and security of all digital assets.
- Oversee the migration of assets between cold storage (archive) and hot storage (active use).
- Maintain an organised and searchable library of materials, ensuring accurate metadata and version control.
- Support long-term archiving strategy, including the preservation of masters and extras.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues in collaboration with IT and technical staff

Required skills and experience:

- 2–4 years’ experience in technical operations, post-production, or film distribution.
- Demonstrated video editing experience across social/marketing content and archival/long-form materials.
- Solid knowledge of video formats, codecs, and standards (e.g. MP4, ProRes, 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision).
- Experience with digital delivery tools (Catapult, Aspera)
- Subtitling experience (creation, syncing, QC).
- Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects desirable).
- Ability to handle archival media
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve QC issues.
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities.
