What you'll be doing
As the Director of Nursing – Mental Health Services, you will provide strategic and professional leadership for mental health nursing services with accountability for clinical governance, quality, safety and workforce sustainability. You will drive evidence-based practice, service transformation and organisational performance while ensuring nursing services align with District priorities and the evolving needs of consumers, carers and families.
• Lead strategic nursing governance, quality and safety frameworks
• Drive workforce planning, capability development and contemporary models of care
• Provide executive leadership for mental health reform and service redesign
• Influence integrated service delivery, patient flow and consumer centred care
• Represent Mental Health Nursing across executive, organisational and system forums

Essential Criteria
* License: Drivers License Class C
* Qualification: Relevant post graduate tertiary management qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Registration in line with Award requirements: Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
* Extensive experience in leadership and management within a complex health care environment at a senior management level, supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications in health service management or a related field, or demonstrated progress toward such qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience in senior clinical and operational leadership within a complex health service, including strategic planning and the development, implementation and evaluation of business and operational plans.
* Demonstrated ability to strategically manage financial resources and nursing workforce requirements and industrial provisions, including workforce profile management, within industrial frameworks and organisational policies to deliver safe, high quality, compassionate and culturally responsive care.
* Proven ability to lead and embed evidence based practice and contemporary models of care across nursing services to improve consumer outcomes and service performance.5. Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy, analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to influence, communicate effectively and resolve complex issues at senior and executive levels.
* Comprehensive knowledge of, and commitment to health system safety and quality, risk management, change management, innovation, professional practice development and research.
* Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage staff, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to achieve professional and organisations objectives.
