Fixed Plant Operator – Tyre Shredder & Masonry Manufacturing
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Fixed Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team, working across tyre shredding operations and masonry product manufacturing. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery, follows processes closely, and takes pride in safe and efficient production.
About the Role
You will be responsible for operating and monitoring fixed plant equipment, including tyre shredders and masonry manufacturing machinery. The role involves routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor fixed plant machinery, including tyre shredders and masonry manufacturing equipment
* Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
* Monitor product quality and report any defects or process issues
* Conduct routine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment
* Follow production schedules and workplace procedures
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Comply with WHS policies and site safety requirements at all times
About You
* Previous experience operating fixed plant or manufacturing equipment (preferred)
* Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new machinery
* Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
* Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent work
* Forklift ticket or plant tickets (desirable but not essential)
* Full C class drivers license
