About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated, reliable, and hardworking technician to join our growing communications team. Experience within the telecommunications, commercial, or government sectors will be highly regarded.
This role involves working across a variety of projects and environments, supporting both electrical and data installations depending on operational needs.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' relevant local industry experience
* Legal right to work in Australia
* Strong initiative with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* High attention to detail and quality workmanship
* Open Cabler Registration with copper and fibre endorsements
* White Card
* Asbestos Awareness & Working with Asbestos Card
* Silica awareness Certificate
* Police Clearance (receipt required prior to commencement)
* Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
Desirable Experience
Familiarity with the following systems will be advantageous:
* Panduit
* AFL
* Commscope
* Molex
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and fault‑finding a wide range of telecommunications and networking systems, including:
* Structured cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A): installation, termination, testing, and labelling
* Fibre installation, termination, and testing
* Cable reticulation including tray, conduit, and pathway systems for data and power
* Working at heights, climbing ladders, and running cables overhead or underfloor
* Installation and configuration of communications racks, patch panels, and network cabinets
* Working safely on construction sites and in live operational environments
* Reading and interpreting technical documentation, drawings, and plans
