Transport Leadership Role
This key leadership position provides strategic direction to deliver high-quality fiscal and policy advice, drive reform, and ensure sound financial management across transport, planning, regional development, arts, tourism, hospitality, and sport sectors.
The successful candidate will work closely with agencies across these sectors, leading engagement and providing expertise to inform budget decision-making, manage the State's principal financial assets and liabilities, identify opportunities for economic reform, monitor and forecast economic indicators and state revenues, and advise on performance and financial management policies.
This is a critical role in delivering the Government's priorities and shaping investment decisions that impact the future of NSW.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic leadership and direction to deliver high-quality fiscal and policy advice
* Driving reform and ensuring sound financial management across transport, planning, regional development, arts, tourism, hospitality, and sport sectors
* Working closely with agencies across these sectors to lead engagement and provide expertise
The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in senior executive roles, preferably in government or a related sector
* Demonstrated expertise in fiscal policy, financial management, and economic reform
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
