The Opportunity
As an Account Director, you will own a portfolio of existing accounts and be responsible for their retention, growth, and renewal. You will partner with Customer Success Managers and serve as the primary executive point of contact, driving expansions, MRR raise opportunities, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management.
Daily responsibilities include sponsor nurturing, stakeholder discovery, business reviews, renewal processes, and contract negotiations.
Job Description
Own a portfolio of existing accounts and take responsibility for their retention and growth.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
Proactively own renewals in coordination with the Customer Success team.
Sell in a team environment to maximize account penetration and coverage.
Consistently forecast monthly and quarterly performance.
Negotiate deals and contracts at various levels, focusing on C-level negotiations for enterprise accounts.
Participate in key stakeholder meetings from onboarding kick-off to business reviews.
Discover strategic needs and directions of customers, setting goals that enable driving business impact.
Analyze stakeholder mapping and set overall strategy for touchpoint frequency.
Own renewal success and strategy to achieve key commercial/contractual targets.
Ensure Customer Success realization is achieved and recognized across key stakeholders, reaching NPS targets.
Drive customer advocacy with marketing via success stories, testimonials, and more.
Monitor market trends and industry analysis to nurture key stakeholders aligned with Insider's product roadmap.
What we expect from you
7+ years of experience in Customer Success Management, Account Management, or Sales, ideally in SaaS or MarTech.
Proven oral and written communication skills, positive phone attitude, and excellent listening.
Track record of using sales and persuasive skills to close deals.
Self-motivated tech bug, always seeking innovative solutions to improve client relationships.
Strong sense of care for clients and dedication to making them feel at home with our products and support.
Passion for testing, measuring, and improving outreach and follow-up effectiveness.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
High responsibility and accountability.
Strategic thinker with excellent project and time management.
Experience negotiating contracts and navigating legal discussions.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
Collaborative decision maker, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through.
Strong presentation skills across all audiences and senior management levels.
Proven ability to build relationships and uncover needs with senior executives in large or strategic accounts.
Experience managing stakeholder relationships to gain consensus on solutions and engagements.
University degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
