About the role
Join our team at SportsMed Sunshine Coast as a casual Medical Receptionist. In this important role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our medical practice. This is a flexible, casual position based in our modern facilities in Bokarina, Sunshine Coast. This position requires you to work autonomously one to two days per week with flexibility to cover sick days and annual leave.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
* Efficiently managing patient inquiries, bookings and scheduling
* Updating and maintaining accurate patient records in our database
* Handling basic financial transactions such as payments and refunds
* Assisting with the coordination of patient appointments and referrals
* Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as needed
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with patients of all backgrounds
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy medical practice environment
* Proficient in using medical practice management software and general office technologies (training provided)
* Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
* A caring, empathetic and professional approach to patient care
* Mac computer experience preferred but not essential
