Job Responsibilities:
1. Regional Strategy & Leadership:
2. Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy for the IC and TAVI business lines in Australia to achieve sales growth and market share objectives.
3. Lead, motivate, and develop the local sales team and/or distributor network.
4. Portfolio Management:
5. Drive commercial success for the MicroPort IC & TAVI product portfolio across Australia.
6. Identify and prioritize key market opportunities for portfolio expansion within the structural heart and coronary intervention sectors.
7. Key Stakeholder Engagement:
8. Build and nurture strategic relationships with cardiologists, interventionalists, key opinion leaders (KOLs) in structural heart, major cardiac centers, and healthcare stakeholders.
9. Represent MicroPort at relevant national and regional cardiology and structural heart conferences, symposiums, and medical events.
10. Business Operations & Channel Excellence:
11. Oversee distributor management, ensuring performance alignment, effective product and procedural training, and compliance with company policies.
12. Implement robust business processes for sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
13. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
14. Work closely with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Training, and Regulatory teams to adapt and implement regional initiatives and support market development activities.
15. Provide critical market feedback and competitive intelligence to global headquarters to influence product development and commercial strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years of medical device sales experience, with at least 3 years in a regional management or leadership role, specifically within IC, Structural Heart, or TAVI in the Australian market.
2. Deep understanding of the Australian cardiac healthcare landscape, including catheter lab operations, hospital procurement processes, and the regulatory environment for IC & TAVI devices.
3. Documented success in building and managing high-performing sales teams and/or distributor networks.
4. Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
5. Excellent command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
6. Ability and willingness to travel frequently within Australia.
7. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field (Business, Life Sciences) is preferred.
