Project Manager Job Description
Synopsis
The Project Manager will oversee various projects, including major and minor improvements to stores, staff amenities, and office changes. This role involves managing schedules, logistics of materials, cost checking, and reviewing drawings.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage daily activities of major projects, overseeing architects on site with store teams, contractors, and suppliers.
* Track schedules, logistics of materials, cost checking, and drawing reviews.
* Lead minor projects, which include improvements to stores, staff amenities, and office changes, often involving collaborations with IT, Communications, or VM departments.
* Develop and implement maintenance programs, educating local teams and enforcing standards through inspections.
* Maintain safety and security measures related to projects.
* Initiate sustainability initiatives in design, construction, and operations.
* Support the qualification of local suppliers and perform factory inspections as needed.
* Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including regional departments, RDAI, subsidiary management, and local landlords.
Additional Responsibilities
* Strata management of Hermès-owned properties, attending meetings and coordinating relevant actions.
* Liaise with strata, builders, and architects for works impacting Hermès properties.
* Provide reports and updates to senior management on issues.
* Advise on budgetary impacts related to special levies and strata issues.
Candidate Profile
* Tertiary qualifications in property law, contract law, or a related field are preferred.
* A strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Project, and Photoshop.
* Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and costs is essential.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating effective time management and adaptability.
* Possesses negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of luxury consumer behavior.
