The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Emergency Department – Load Share) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Liaise with patients and stakeholders in the coordination of medical care, procedures and outpatient consultations
- Case-manage patients who are being treated via Service Offer Agreement
- Proactively liaise and engage with the co-ordination hub, Service Directors, and Medical Directors
- Direct, advise and support other clinical staff and Bookings Officers
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of reliable discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $132 562 - $143 924 per annum

Clinical Management is a dynamic team responding efficiently to barriers to discharge, access, and demand capacity escalations. The team consists of Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Managers and Administration Officers. The role works closely with the Patient Access and Flow Team and is based in the Coordination Hub at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH).
