Disability Employment Project Officer
The Role:
Join our team to lead the design, implementation and evaluation of employability initiatives tailored for students with disability. You will work closely with internal colleagues across student success, accessability and faculties to ensure alignment and accessibility of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver projects that support students with disability to achieve their career aspirations.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of programs.
* Build relationships with employers, government agencies, and advocacy organisations to create inclusive employment opportunities.
* Provide individualised career advice and connect students with resources and services.
* Conduct project research, prepare business cases, and coordinate project planning, timelines and evaluation frameworks.
* Monitor, evaluate and report on student engagement, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
Requirements:
* A qualification in education, human resources, social work, disability studies or a related field.
* Strong relationship management and networking skills, with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
* An understanding of issues facing students with disability and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy in practice.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with cultural sensitivity.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Research and analytical skills to inform evidence-based initiatives.
Desirable Experience:
* Working in a similar role within the higher education sector.
* Knowledge of graduate recruitment processes and inclusive employment trends.
* Experience in disability employment or within the disability sector.
Location: Western Australia
Salary Range: AU$96,323 - AU$102,186 per annum (pro rata) + 17% superannuation
