The opportunity:
The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator is responsible for the provision of extension services to the agricultural sector to improve knowledge and uptake of climate-smart practices and facilitate the understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets.
The role is funded by the Australian Government's Natural Heritage Trust (NHT) and works closely with members of the Sustainable Landscapes team to deliver on the LC Landscape Board's priorities, particularly Educating and partnering to sustainably manage our landscapes and Growing sustainable primary production.
The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator will work closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies and agencies to facilitate and implement workshops, events and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes that achieve Australian Government objectives for sustainable agriculture and natural resource management outcomes.

Special conditions:
* Position is based in the Limestone Coast.
* A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness to drive is required.
* Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
* Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties.
* Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required.
* Required to participate in the LC Landscape Board's Performance Development and Review Program.
