We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our management team and take ownership of all regulatory compliance and quality assurance activities within our export facility.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all food safety, export, and environmental regulations.This role is central to maintaining our accreditations and driving continuous improvement in product quality and operational performance.
You will manage compliance systems, lead audits, train staff, and collaborate with government authorities and customers to ensure that Beaufort River Meats continues to operate at the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of compliance management, including Market Access, Food Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements.
* Maintain export accreditations and ensure adherence to Australian Industry Standards and company operational procedures.
* Conduct and respond to internal and external audits in a timely and professional manner.
* Lead and mentor staff to build a strong compliance culture across all operational areas.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability.
* Liaise with regulatory authorities such as DAWR, OPV, and FSMA.
* Analyse and report on quality performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Maintain accurate and timely records and reports across all compliance areas.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* Previous experience in Quality or Compliance Management within the food or meat processing industry.
* Strong knowledge of export, HACCP, and regulatory standards.
* Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
* Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
