Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at Carmel School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about primary education and thrives in a supportive, child-centred environment. The successful applicant will play a vital role in helping our young learners feel safe, engaged, and supported throughout their day. Carmel School is a Jewish School in Dianella that consistently ranks among the top schools in WA for WACE. We have a supportive, close-knit staff and delightful students who are diligent and courteous.

You do not need to be Jewish to work at Carmel, just supportive of our ethos.

All Carmel Staff are required to abide by the Staff Code of Conduct to ensure child safety.

About the Role

Education Assistants, are expected to work closely with the classroom teacher and the wider team to support student learning, well-being, and classroom routines. The role will include working with specific individuals as well as small groups, assisting them to experience a safe experience while at school and providing guidance as they navigate challenges.


Desirable Qualifications and Experience

* Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working in an upper primary setting.
* Understanding of various positive behaviour support strategies.
* Completion of Diabetes training level 1 and 2
