Our client is a forward-thinking Queensland Government Department with a dynamic finance team known for collaboration, innovation, and excellence. They've partnered with Kingston Human Capital to find a talented Finance Officer to join their Financial Accounting team.
About the Role
As the Finance Officer, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial information. Your day will involve:
General ledger reconciliations
Bank reconciliations
Supporting month-end activities
Preparing accruals, journals, and prepayments
Working closely with stakeholders to build strong, positive relationships
Contributing to the team's reputation for high-quality corporate finance support
What You Bring

Hands-on experience with GL and bank reconciliations
Strong month-end exposureIntermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
A customer-focused approach with excellent people skills
A driven attitude and the ability to provide strong, recent references
