We offer a relaxed lakeside dining experience in the heart of Springfield Lakes. We are looking for a qualified cook to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities
* Prepare a range of high-quality meals for our customers
* Help design new menu items
* Help estimate stock requirements
* Streamline processes between our wait staff and kitchen staff
Duties
* Clean food preparation areas, maintain hygiene standards, regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
* Set up staff workstations with the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
* Prepare cooking ingredients
* Inspecting food items to guarantee quality
* Maintain customer expectations and accommodate guests with allergies
* Monitor ingredient quality for freshness and storing in temperature-controlled facilities
* Monitor stock levels and place orders
* Liaise with front‐of‐house staff to ensure they serve hot food
* Operate kitchen appliances and cooking apparatus
* Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes according to our expectations
* Supervise and may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
Qualifications, experience and skills
* Must have Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
* Passion for creating delicious and high-quality food.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: 75,000.00 – 85,000.00 per year
