Remuneration: $114,251.00 - $134,809.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
Hours Per Week: 38

About the Opportunity


The Reporting and Data Analyst produces datasets, analyses, charts and/or dashboards (reports) to support cancer research, and cancer-related health-system monitoring and performance reporting activities to inform decision making, and support achievement of NSW Cancer Plan objectives. They contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Institutes' data assets, reports and reporting systems.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in health information, computer science, data science, statistics, information management or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated skills and experience managing, analysing, summarising and interpreting medium to large size complex data sets.
* Proven ability to produce high‐quality charts, tables, and written insights for reports and stakeholders.
* Strong proficiency in R programming, including data wrangling, statistical analysis, and data visualisation.
* Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate, high‐standard, error‐free work.
* Strong analytical and critical‐thinking skills.

Pre-Screening Questions

* Please provide an example of a data analysis you have conducted where you identified a data quality issue. What steps did you take to investigate and clean the data, and what measures did you put in place following the finding of the data quality issue?
* Please provide an example where you turned data into actionable insights using R programming. Describe the end-to-end process you undertook to achieve this.
