About the role
JSC Group is seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join our team in Canberra ACT. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in our construction projects, operating heavy machinery to grade and level construction sites.
What you'll be doing
1. Operate a grader machine to level and grade construction sites, ensuring surfaces are prepared to the required specifications
2. Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on the grader to keep it in optimal working condition
3. Work closely with the construction team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes
4. Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site
5. Participate in team meetings and provide input on process improvements
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Grader Operator, with at least 3 years' operating experience in the construction industry
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
3. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
4. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
5. Commitment to workplace health and safety
6. Willingness to work surrounding regions
7. Relevant plant operation certifications and licences
