* LGO 4 ($79,414 - $85,123 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

About The Role
The primary purpose of this position is to provide a high level of administrative support across the Legal Services Section and to foster working relationships with management and other staff to work in an environment where confidentiality, responsiveness and efficiency are essential.

Accountable to the Chief Legal Officer, this position will be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community; growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value.

About You
Our ideal applicant will have:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a legal office or local government providing a high level of professional administrative support.
* The knowledge to undertake legislative research and internal and external searches including searches of the Titles Qld office.
* Justice of the Peace (Qualified) (Queensland) (highly desirable)
* Demonstrated understanding of legal procedures, Court processes and documents and terminology.
* Experience in conveyancing practices and preparation of paperwork for Titles Qld and Office of State Revenue.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
* Experience dealing with a wide variety of professionals.
