A little about the role

Our Recruitment and Panel Manager lead the Carer recruitment team, in partnership with operational teams and, independent Assessors, to provide a flexible, effective and strategically planned Foster Carer management service. You will report directly to the Director.

* You will take primary responsibility to cover the full lifecycle for the foster care recruitment process from enquiry, approval and onboarding.
* You will support prospective and transferring carers to understand our model of support, ensure carers meet safeguarding requirements, and actively contribute to building our carer community and supporting carer retention.
* Daily, you will provide supervision to the recruitment team ensuring your staff input information on our database as per Key Assets state and national requirements
* You will be responsible in collaboration with Managers, Assessors, Recruitment and Operations Teams to ensure the Fostering panel meets KAA and legislative requirements through rigorous process and review
* As our Recruitment and Panel Manager you will support any Kin Carer assessments and carer transfers as part of our Kinship care key service stream.

The base salary for this position is $110,102.72 - $114,983.44 /annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card (if applicable) + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is full-time, ongoing role. You can work at any of our Tasmanian offices in Hobart, Devonport or Launceston and have the option for hybrid working conditions.

About you

You will have substantial experience in a similar management role within the social and community services sector with evidence of successful team development and growth.

* Social work qualification or equivalent. For overseas applicants this social work qualification must be validated or within the scope of validation by the AASW. It is desirable you hold or be working towards a qualification in management
* At least 5 years demonstrated knowledge of family placement and/or children’s services
* Demonstrable experience of Foster Carer Recruitment, including conducting assessments with the ability to communicate simply and effectively with a diverse staff and client groups.
