Maintenance and Facilities Technician Job Description
As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by coordinating maintenance activities and improving infrastructure. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a motivated individual with a trade background and engineering qualification or relevant comparable experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure effective preventative maintenance programs are in place and facilities are supported and improved.
* Safety Checks: Ensure regularly scheduled preventative maintenance and monthly safety checks are complete, identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action as needed.
* Project Management: Coordinate contractors and work with production engineers on concept, design, support, and maintenance of current and new machinery and equipment, preparing cost estimates and overseeing project management of capital installations.
* Facilities Requests: Track and complete site facilities requests and escalate issues to the department supervisor in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal facility performance.
* Site Audits: Engage in completing all site audits, implementing identified corrective actions promptly, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
