The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a busy and dedicated payroll team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce in accordance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation
* Administer payroll using Micropay, ensuring a high level of accuracy and data integrity
* Maintain employee payroll records, including commencements, terminations, leave, and pay variations
* Respond to payroll-related enquiries, providing clear and professional customer service to employees and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including superannuation, taxation, and reporting requirements
* Reconcile payroll reports and support regular and ad-hoc audits
About You
* Demonstrated experience in a Payroll Officer or similar role
* Proven hands-on experience using Micropay
* Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
* High level of attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume payroll environment
