The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across the Sanctuary Cove Community Services Group.
This is a critical role within our Finance team, responsible for ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, on time, and in full compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and statutory requirements. You will be stepping into a well-established organisation with a complex operating environment, supporting multiple entities and a diverse workforce.
Would consider a part time arrangement for the right person with the right experience.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing
• Interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and employment contracts
• Processing allowances, overtime, penalties, and leave entitlements
• Payroll tax, superannuation, and PAYG compliance and lodgements
• Payroll reconciliations including general ledger and leave balances
• Maintenance of payroll records including onboarding, changes, and terminations
• Year-end processing including STP finalisation
• Responding to payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
• Demonstrated experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements or Awards
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Excel capability
• Experience with ADP (Payline or Realtime) highly regarded
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional, confidential, and service-oriented approach
