Analyst (APS5) – Responsibilities
* Help deliver work under the supervision of a Senior Analyst, Assistant Director and/or Director.
* Contribute to a range of regulatory functions as appropriate, such as undertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory and pricing processes, and compliance monitoring activities, to inform evidence based decision making.
* Contribute to input to the development of relevant policy insight and advocacy.
* Contribute to the drafting and presentation of analysis, briefs, reports and correspondence for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Commissioners, government, businesses, members of the public, consumer advocates and industry groups.
* Develop and maintain a range of stakeholder relationships. Represent the team or agency at internal and external meetings. Liaise with stakeholders on project or operational issues responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Share learning and support team members. Understand and act on constructive feedback.
* Make decisions relating to assigned tasks based on sound subject matter knowledge and professional judgement, in line with guidance from Senior Analyst, Assistant Director and Director in the team.
* Engage collaboratively with employees throughout the ACCC and AER and with other regulators and agencies, including on enforcement and compliance issues relating to specific industries.
* Contribute to the provision of advice and assistance to other Divisions of the ACCC as required.
Senior Analyst (APS6) – Responsibilities
* Support the relevant branch leadership to deliver work under the supervision of an Assistant Director and/or Director.
* Contribute to a range of regulatory functions as appropriate, such as undertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory and pricing processes, and compliance monitoring activities, to inform evidence based decision making.
* Contribute to input to the development of relevant policy insight and advocacy.
* Draft and present analysis, briefs, reports and correspondence for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Commissioners, government, businesses, members of the public, consumer advocates and industry groups.
* Develop and support a range of stakeholder relationships. Represent the agency and promote its interest. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals. Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.

Senior Analyst (Regulated Pricing) (APS6) – Responsibilities
* Support the relevant branch leadership to deliver work under the supervision of an Assistant Director and/or Director.
* Plan, manage and deliver specific project or a segment of a project, including by supervising and guiding junior staff, as appropriate.
* Develop objectives for short-term projects/or assigned tasks and contribute to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
* Contribute to pricing determinations in relation to the ACCC's functions across various industries as appropriate.
* Contribute to a range of other regulatory functions as appropriate, such as undertaking market monitoring, reporting, regulatory and compliance monitoring activities, to inform evidence based decision making.
* Contribute to input to the development of relevant policy insight and advocacy.

* Contribute to the coordination of matters of strategic importance to the Division, including managing or leading a specific project or a segment of a project as appropriate.
* Contribute to Division skills and capability development such as internal networks, graduate and new starter induction materials, internal Division training and seminars.
* Under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Director (External engagement, Coordination and Reporting) and in consultation with relevant project teams, contribute to the development of a course of action for improvements in existing processes and methods on internal reporting, and other Division-wide coordination matters.
* Conduct and contribute to international and stakeholder research, liaison and surveys.
* Prepare and present briefing material, reports and recommendations for consideration by senior management and Commissioners.
* Develop and support a range of stakeholder relationships. Represent the Division and promote its interest. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals. Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.

* Engage collaboratively with employees across the ACCC and with other regulators, agencies and international organisations and bodies, including by undertaking ID engagement with other divisions across the agency that requires coordination.
About You The Analyst Role – Requirements
* Experience with, or ability to quickly develop an understanding of, the regulatory, economic and technical concepts pertaining to infrastructure regulation.
* An awareness of the aims and functions of the ACCC and the provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, and other relevant legislation or the ability to quickly attain this.
* High quality written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey complex and technical material clearly and accurately. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
* A commitment to achieving quality outcomes.
* An ability to think strategically and research, investigate and analyse information.
Senior Analyst – Additional Requirements
* Demonstrated ability to assist with planning and managing a project.

APS5 – $93,004 - $98,617 plus 15.4% superannuation
APS6 – $102,947 - $115,384 plus 15.4% superannuation
