Posted: 1 April
Offer description

You've got the skills to work on small, impactful community initiatives or enable reliable network-wide services.

You have the opportunity to gain a wealth of expertise and a diverse range of skills, providing insight and knowledge without losing sight of your work-life balance or wellbeing.

In this role, you'll:

Report to the Director of Maintenance Planning & Program Services in the Road Maintenance and Resilience Division. You will provide innovative, strategic leadership to a diverse team in a complex environment, overseeing the maintenance planning, project development and program management of pavement and corridor projects across the South NSW region.

As a talented thought leader, you will be responsible for not only leading your team but building rapport with other key stakeholders across the organisation and the community who will be critical to your success.

You will provide expert and specialised advice on technical and operational project and infrastructure requirements and ensure issues are resolved proactively, by actively engaging with stakeholders across all stages of the TfNSW asset lifecycle, to enable delivery of pavement and corridor assets that form part of a safe, reliable, efficient and integrated transport system, serving the needs of customers and communities.

You will foster a collaborative, high-performing culture with a strong focus on teamwork, quality reporting and effective change management, bringing together a diverse group of people into one cohesive unit.

With a statewide lens, you will unify ways of working to align with statewide operating requirements and partner closely with your peers to design and embed a consistent, scalable statewide model. Ideally, you will have a high degree of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills combined with ability to encourage strategic thinking, innovation and action.

You hold a four-year civil engineering degree (or equivalent Washington Accord-recognised qualification) or relevant technical qualifications with practical experience. You have strong knowledge of materials, equipment, and techniques for pavement and corridor infrastructure, understand project management principles and digital tools.

You hold a current Australian driver’s licence, a valid White Card, and are willing to work outside standard hours and travel occasionally.
