Role Overview
The APS6 Freedom of Information Decision Maker is responsible for coordinating Freedom of Information requests made to the Agency, ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth). This role involves leading a team and managing workflows, prioritizing tasks, and contributing to the development of information handling requirements.

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for making FOI decisions, consulting with relevant line areas, and recording matters on databases according to the FOI Act. You will also manage client priorities, available resources, and deliver results on time.
Main Responsibilities
* Making FOI decisions, consulting with relevant line areas, and recording matters on databases according to the FOI Act
* Managing client priorities, available resources, and delivering results on time
* Mentoring FOI Action Officers for timely processing of FOI requests
* Preparing briefing materials, Board papers, media releases, reports, and correspondence
* Supporting system development, processes, and practical tools, including training for FOI and PIA handling
* Assisting with PIA decisions as a PIA delegate where required
