Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Marketing Executive to support the execution of digital marketing campaigns for The International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC) one of the world's leading mining events, and the editorial team behind Mining Beacon, our industry insights platform.
This dual-focus role is ideal for a highly organised marketing guru with strong writing skills, digital know-how, and an interest in either the mining and resources sector or the events industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IMARC Digital Marketing Support (approx. 60%)
* Build and schedule email marketing campaigns in HubSpot – from email and segment creation, through to testing and sending.
* Upload website content (speakers, agenda, news) using CMS.
* Coordinate with design and comms teams to execute campaigns on time.
* Track campaign performance and support reporting.
* Ensure speaker, sponsor, and exhibitor updates are reflected across all digital platforms.
* Maintain campaign asset libraries and filing systems.
* Secure and fulfil media and association partnerships.
* Manage social content planning and creation.
* Work with event speakers and sponsors on event promotion.
* Assist with planning, uploading, and formatting regular Mining Beacon articles, newsletters, and reports.
* Coordinate outreach, collect materials, and manage editorial calendar.
* Ensure all published content follows SEO best practices and brand tone.
* Produce regular newsletters on LinkedIn and via email to Mining Beacon database.
* Help draft intros, post copy, or snippets as needed (light copywriting).
* Track content engagement and compile basic analytics reports.
Experience & Skills Required:
* B2B/event industry experience.
* 2+ years in similar fast-paced role in event-marketing, digital content, or communications.
* Strong working knowledge of CMS platforms and email marketing tools (ideally HubSpot but Oracle Eloqua, Adobe Marketo or Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent are also fine).
* Basic SEO and copywriting skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
* Strong time management; able to juggle competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
* Comfortable working with international teams and remotely.
Nice to Have:
* Interest in mining, energy, or sustainability sectors.
* Experience using design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe).
* Familiarity with LinkedIn campaign tools or article publishing.
* Experience working in an events or publishing environment.

* IMARC campaigns are delivered on time, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* The Mining Beacon publishing schedule runs smoothly, with minimal input from senior editorial.
* Communication between stakeholders is proactive, organised, and solutions-focused.
