Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to fill a temporary to permanent position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent fault diagnosis and maintenance skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously or in a team.
* Fault diagnosis is critical in this role, utilizing schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software to identify issues with electronic equipment.
* Maintenance and repair of pressure and mass flow measuring devices requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of electronics.
* The technician must also maintain various Halliburton-specific software and hardware systems.
* Electronics cabling and component-level PCB repairs require a high level of technical expertise.
* Additionally, light fabrication work and accurate SAP data entry are essential responsibilities of this role.
Roster and Working Conditions:
The roster for this position is FIFO even time, with typically 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off, although this may change to 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off during summer months. Working days are generally 12 hours long, and operations often take place in hot environments, so temperature management is crucial.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in the energy industry is highly desirable.
* Candidates should have extensive experience in electronic maintenance environments.
* A strong understanding of computer networking and serial communications is necessary.
* The ideal candidate will possess lateral thinking skills, enabling them to effectively problem solve.
* They must also be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Exemplary interpersonal communication skills are required.
* A restricted electrical licence or above is highly desirable but not essential.
