The Role
An exciting opportunity waits for a tech savvy Production Technician/Supervisor for our state-of-the-art automated factory in Braeside. You will find cutting edge automation creating world class products. You will be a mechanically minded technician level leader to oversee the production lines and our teams to troubleshoot line issues, supported by our awesome Maintenance team Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll ensure continuous production, seamless operations, upholding our high-quality standards and driving production excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operations
: Supervise state of the art production lines, including mixing, depositing, shaping and baking processes.
Troubleshoot like a pro
: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automated machinery, sensors and control systems to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
Drive quick changeovers
: Execute rapid, efficient product changeovers by adjusting settings and managing ingredients to meet flexible production demands.
Maximise efficiency
: Manage real time data (temperature, speed, weight) and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to boost productivity and streamline operations
Champion team culture
: Foster a collaborative, positive team culture focusing on hands on leadership, open communication and multi skilling your team's development.
Uphold compliance and standards
: Ensure compliance with Quality, OHS, GMP, HACCP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies

Technical expertise:
A high attention to detail with previous experience working with automated systems with the ability to trouble shoot and resolve breakdowns quickly
Mechanical mindset
: An eye for detail to identify issues with machinery, sensors and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
Problem solving skills
: Able to quickly identify issues and find solutions, knowing when to escalate when you need maintenance support
Analytical prowess
: Ability to interpret and report on production data and KPI's to optimise processes and ensure consistent quality, recommending improvements when you identify them
Adaptability
: Able to pivot, when necessary, in a fast-paced setting, flexible in your approach and happy to work as a team to get the job done
Qualifications
: A qualified baker is preferred, or equivalent experience

This role works a rotating 7-day fortnight of 12 hour shifts – 6pm - 6am.
