Who You Are
This Darwin‐based role will demonstrate a strong commercial capability and a proven record delivering land development, civil infrastructure, and early‐stage construction projects.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
* 8‐10 years' experience in contract administration, including 2‐3 years in a senior or leadership capacity
* Demonstrated ability to safeguard commercial outcomes from feasibility through delivery
* Experience influencing stakeholders and guiding multidisciplinary teams
* Extensive experience in land development, civil works, or early stage construction
* Strong contractual and commercial acumen with the ability to proactively manage risk
* Expertise in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
* Exceptional analytical skills, accuracy, and commercial judgement
What You'll Do
* Provide strategic commercial oversight across land development, civil works, servicing, subdivision activities, and early construction
* Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities across all project phases
* Ensure full compliance with the Head Contract, development agreements, authority conditions, and statutory obligations
* Lead procurement and negotiations for consultant agreements, civil works packages, and early stage construction contracts
* Manage development budgets, forecasting, cashflow, and cost‐to‐complete assessmentsProduce monthly commercial reports for internal management, clients, and joint venture partners
* Maintain and enhance cost control systems to ensure accurate, timely commercial reporting
* Prepare tender documentation, scopes of work, evaluation frameworks, and contract award recommendations
* Manage consultant engagements to ensure clear scopes, strong performance, and contractual compliance
* Ensure subcontractors and suppliers understand commercial and compliance requirements prior to engagement
* Review and approve progress claims, supplier invoices, and financial commitments
* Prepare, negotiate, evaluate, and submit variations
* Maintain commercial registers, contract administration systems, and audit‐ready documentation
* Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet safety, environmental, and quality requirements, supporting strong HSEQ compliance
